Visited on a Saturday night recently. Large single room but with various cosy sections Busy with diners and those "going on". Had the Ghost ship which was good, several other beers on which seemed to on a changing rota. Food was decent and reasonably priced. captaineric - 13 Aug 2024 20:00 |
Ember Inn's establishment in Longlevens that has an entry in the current Good Beer Guide. Ember Inn's pubs aim at the family market, trying to attract drinkers and diners. It is similar to the nearby Greyhound and other than their own labelled ale from Black Sheep, they do stock a range of national guests. Bath Gem is apparently a regular here. Others were Purity Ubu, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Banks's Sunbeam & Sharp's Atlantic. Whilst you're always assured of a real ale here, I struggle to appreciate the surroundings. Their pubs always have very little character. Ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. blue_scrumpy - 14 Oct 2018 11:38 |
Went to this pub yesterday (early evening) for a Sunday Roast meal. The beer was good but unfortunately the quality of food was well below standard. There were only a few people in the bar but the service was quite slow. When the food came it was just warm and the beef slices were very thin and and small in quantity. Probably served out of a packet rather than carved from a joint. At a cost of 7.50 I would give this meal a miss. Glosdiner - 14 Mar 2011 09:27 |
Nice pub, decent staff and food. SLightly pricey but not too bad. silver_uk - 21 Sep 2006 16:57 |
Now with a change of Landlord but still of the same high quality beer and staff. Food still good but not the cheapest in town. stevec - 4 Jan 2006 14:49 |
