As a tourist looking for an authentic british pub, look no further. This place is filled with people who treat you like family. The beer is excellent, but honestly the food is even better its fantastic. When I came to this area I wanted a place that I would feel at home with during my stay, and I found it. If your in the area and you dont stop in, your making a big mistake jackw1 - 21 Feb 2012 19:42 |
The Monkey Puzzle is a fantastic place for a drink as well as food. There is a great atmosphere inside, as well as outside in the garden, with happy staff and good background music. The landlord always present to welcome you and to make sure that you are being well looked after. Highly recommended any time during the day or evening. A must go! karenhind - 27 Jul 2011 21:33 |
This pub was unfortunately dreary and unexciting. The beer was ok but beyond that, I can't say much about this other than we left before finishing our drinks. EGaller - 22 Jun 2011 12:36 |
Two students from Oxford- stopped in for a drink and dinner before catching the train 2 blocks away from Paddington home. Though the pubs atmosphere was both inviting, warm, and conducive to lots of good conversation. Great dinner as well, had the pie special of the day, and a pint (or two) of the HB. Both the food and beer were reasonably priced- best part. Great location (esp for train travelers via PAD), friendly staff, great atmosphere. OxStudent - 19 Mar 2011 00:02 |
