| After visiting the Crown without a drink and then the Wey Bridge it was time for a proper pub and the Baker's Arms is a nice old fashioned pub with low ceilings and some rather annoying flies hovering around. 2 real ales on tap, Ringwood Best and Sharp's Doombar, the Best was very good but again the dishwasher seems to have been playing up and left smears all over the glasses. Half a dozen punters in, a decent welcome was offered for 3 strangers...all the hard men of alton seem to have left this place now. lezford - 5 Aug 2013 13:19 |
