went yesterday 19th feb 2012,it was nearly empty, had bought a deal on groupon making a large saving on their menu prices. When we got there we were only ofered a limited choice of roast or pie chips and peas>i dont think they wanted us with our groupon voucher the starter that we chose was supposed to be a chunk of deep fried brie but it was the smallest portion of brie ive ever had.The pie was a pie !!! with chips and peas or chips and peas or chips and peas.We did question the size of the brie to be told that was its size and they hadnt got it wrong.I told them that their food was ordinary and poor but they werent intersted as lots of other people enjoyed it (but they had all left before we got there),Akids fruit shoot 1.25.A kids pizza alreadt cut and arranged for you around the plate to make it look full I wont go again poor unimaginative not worth the trail.I read somewhere else that its a proper local regulars pub,we werent particlarly welcomed best keep out of meltham !!!!!!!!!!!!! clivealive - 20 Feb 2012 13:11 |
Staggered up to the hill and thankfully it was open. Looks bigger from the outside, well furnished. Has 3 Jennings cask ales and does food, great view over the moors out the back. oftenscore6 - 28 May 2007 22:02 |
