Another must visit pub for its authenticity. Unchanged in years - lovely long thin bar with ornate woodwork. Nooks and crannies. Neon advertisied lounge on the first floor, with a external smoking terrace. Absolutely timeless. Mappiman - 21 Feb 2019 15:51 |
Returned this summer and just as it was 4 years ago! A Fine old pub on a side street away from the Grafton noise. richardo - 10 Nov 2014 19:20 |
Another pub not turned into a sport bar. the place was once a merchant store and most of its past is still intact! Enjoy this pub just off of Grafton St. richardo - 16 Mar 2010 20:28 |
This is another wonderfully unspoilt pub right in the heart of the city and is pretty much as I remember it from my first visit in 1983. The interior is dark and atmospheric - as you enter the pub there is a large snug on the left with service to the bar, dark wood partitions create separate drinking spaces along the bar and there is a funny little room on the right that I sat in all those moons ago. Beyond the bar and a corridor is a larger room. Behind the bar is a fine old cash register and a large bureau with lots of little drawers. Drinks served are the usual suspects (see previous reviews). A lovely pub not to be missed. holbornboy - 16 Mar 2010 19:51 |
Decent bar but, like the rest of Dublin, dull and synthetic beer lets it down. AleKing - 27 Aug 2008 17:00 |
