After visiting the Vale on several occasions i have always been impressed with the quality of both the food and the service. being a bit of a fussy eater i was quite surprised when i opened up the menu and found several dishes that i instantly liked the sound of. having been several times now and having tried almost everything i will eat off the menu i can say i have never been let down once. aside from the food there is a brillant atmosphear in the bar, with friendly locals and comfortable surroundings. There is also a brilliant selection of ales which on my last visit were all local. All in all an excelent pub thats well worth a visit hitchhiker_3000 - 26 Aug 2010 03:25 |
What a great pub and just a fantastic location, especially on those few lovely hot summer evenings sitting out on the terrace overlooking the lake.... Lovely villagy feel, and some great local characters. hairybiker6 - 25 Aug 2010 21:52 |
Further to my earlier post need to mention the 5 curries on Thursdays - they were fantastic the last two Thursdays. Beer very good as well - the English Rose from Cotswold Spring Brewery was excellent if you like them pleasantly hoppy as I do. Normally have four local real ales on the go. Should like to add I am not connnected with the pub in any way, just working in the area again but know a good pub when I see one. mikey64 - 18 Dec 2009 20:01 |
