my dad albert coleman used to go to thge three kings pub in mitcham in the fiftys it was a good pub i was only young then and i used to play in the garden of the pub they had swings in it and every year the fair came to the green oppersite and one evening i got my dad out of the pub to go on the chairaplanes with me and hed just had a couple of pints, i dont think he felt to good after that, but he still went back in the pub. its a shame that its shut down nown. it was such a nice looking pub as well. if any one drunk in there in the fifts and new my dad it would be nice to here from you.we moved to epsom in sixty one. thanks pat. anonymous - 5 Apr 2006 18:49 |
The Three Kings was closed down about 3 or 4 months ago. Shortly after a heavy internal rainfall of bottles and glasses. John - 28 Sep 2004 14:03 |
Hi have just joined this site,I have discovered that in 1901 my G.Grandfather lived in and possibly owned this pub but wasn't the publican.Have tried ringing pub but not a working line does anyone know if the pub is currently being taken over or has it been closed down.I live on S.Coast so can't get up there yet as am desperate to see where my ancestors lived. Can remember it as a kid but wasn't allowed in pubs then!!!!!.Thanks Phil piprose - 15 Feb 2004 13:17 |
