Large food oriented village pub but no pressure to buy food. Sam Smiths beer was Incredibly cheap and also very good. Meals looked good quality and priced around £7-£10. They don't do sandwich snack type meals. Dogs not allowed in. Big car park. Well worth a visit. GeofB - 23 Jul 2013 00:31 |
This was our second pub on the Bank Holiday Monday for May Day, following the Roland Arms in Aston. It's a Sam Smiths pub in a nice rural location. There are 3 rooms - a lounge, a family room and a restaurant. The lounge features various horse riding equipment. The pub was reasonably busy with many sat outside enjoying the sunshine. Old Brewery Bitter is available on cask. blue_scrumpy - 4 May 2011 19:02 |
visited again this weekend. not been for quite a while. pub & restaurant has had a re-furb since last visit. hasn't changed all that much though. meals still available in the bar or restuarant. nice range, but slightly pricey. sam smiths cask at 1.40 a pint. worth a visit on a pleasant summer evening. if we ever see one! reynard - 12 Aug 2008 13:30 |
Traditional quiet village pub. Stone & timber interior. Food available in bar or restaurant, or Family room. Small beer garden & play area. Prompt friendly service. Very popular with locals. Cask ales : Samuel smiths bitter [tadcaster]. plus usual keg selection. Always well-kept and excellent value at around 1.30 pint! reynard - 27 Nov 2006 17:54 |
