Stayed at the nearby Premier Inn and popped in here for a meal and a drink. The food was very good with a large choice from the menu. The beer I tried was Bombardier. Very pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. Black and white photographs of motor racing at Silverstone were hung on the walls. I would certainly eat and drink here again if I was in the area. I've been to The Green Man a few times and was impressed enough to suggest it as a meeting place for a large grouip of friends. There were nearly 50 of us and the evening went absolutely smoothly. Excellent food (the Venison was to die for and the white chocolate and respberry tart? Ooooohhhh), an interesting selection of beers and we were superbly looked after by Kevin and his team. Nice old pub building, good ale, good food, nice staff and a hotel next door. What more could you ask for. anonymous - 18 Nov 2007 13:35 |
Very good food, modern yet traditional! And a stone's throw from Silverstone. Dave Wilson - 21 Sep 2004 13:15 |
This pub come restaurant is enormous. The food is really good and decent value. Beer is ok, although fairly standard stuff. Location is right on the A43 which sounds bad but is great when you are driving M25/M40/A43/M1 and Northwards. A good place to stop whilst en-route. Eat, have a drink and its a damn sight better than any motorway service hole. P - 15 Jan 2004 15:28 |
