The Victoria was the better of Oxshott's two pubs. Although, it now refers to itself as a "bar and brasserie", very much designed to target a specific sub-section of society. It was quieter than the Bear just down the road. But, the ale range was marginally better - Sharp's Doom Bar & Atlantic, Timothy Taylor Landlord & Andwell King John. Not cheap. But, I think it was par for the course for this area. blue_scrumpy - 8 Jun 2019 20:26 |
Aspalls cider, but kegged. £4.30/pt! Friendly dogs and locals in the bar. Comfy ambience. jgurney1 - 8 Mar 2015 11:38 |
This is a traditional local village pub still keeping a separate public bar and saloon bar which I don't think I've seen in years. There is a separate Thai restuarant leading off the saloon bar which seems to be run as a independent concern. I had a good pint of Abbott ale and my wife and I tried the Thai food on the menu which was excellent. More expensive than other pubs for a lunch - the two mains, two desserts and two drinks came to £31 but it was a very pleasant visit. redbarrel - 6 Nov 2013 16:59 |
A traditional pub in the centre of Oxshott. It has limited parking but some outside seating. The small lounge leads to a larger room to the left. The bar had 4 real ales but the choice wasn't very adventurous and expensive at £3.86 a pint. Too expensive for my tastes. boozers_knows - 1 Jun 2013 11:54 |
This place probably has the most expensive ale in the UK. 3.76 for a pint of London Pride! It's a nice pub but I don't see how they can justify the prices. Four.one - 13 Sep 2011 08:49 |
