Now this bar has pre-empted the no smoking ban it was totally empty the last time I ventured in.And at 9 for a large gin and tonic it has seen my last visit. ginner - 17 Apr 2007 21:30 |
Appalling hotel pub. It was only the sign outside that proclaimed Thai Chicken Curry that enticed me off the street, only to find that it did not exist on the very limited food menu. The final straw was solitary barman who either had very poor English or decided he'd prefer not to understand my simple lunch order. If the bar was anything to go by, I'd also keep the attached Thistle Hotel at arms length as well. mistral1969 - 16 Dec 2005 10:20 |
My first night out since I arrived from Australia was to Pitcher and Piano Trafalgar and had the best night Ive had in a long time. Great fast service with a nice friendly atmosphere. Was very busy night for them but still all the waitresses were happy and prompt. Definitely going back! Ozzy - 18 Apr 2005 12:53 |
Stuffy hotel pub, staff seemed bothered that people (or at least me) actually came in, despite the large sign declaring 1 pound pints of cider, on the wall outside. I mean, whadday expect? ;) Food was okayish, but too expensive for what you get. You know its not a good sign when a pub on trafalgar sq is empty. Richard - 11 Feb 2004 21:29 |
