This is one of the best bars in Dublin. Massive island bar with all the usual Irish suspects on draft plus a few unusual ones. Excellent food, served quickly by the efficient bar/waiting staff. Very smart bar really and not much more expensive than a backstreet boozer. It's not that easy to find but if you're near the theatre it's down 2 flights of steps through the doorway across the street. Always come here for at least one, every night, of every time we're in Dublin. ROBCamra - 27 Jan 2009 15:23 |
Great place to while away an afternoon. Excellent place to watch any rugby that's on. Friendly service, great bar food. Worth being brave enough to poke your head in the dark doorway and wander down the stairs! jos - 16 Apr 2006 22:08 |
Have enjoyed several long sessions in this fine ale house. Splendid Guinness and a circular bar - so one can drink at it from all sides! andyweston - 6 May 2005 17:35 |
Quite a cool basement location, friendly bar staff. The mirrors on the back wall make it look a lot bigger than what it really is. Briony - 19 Dec 2003 13:36 |
