| Fair enough for a Wetherspoons - obviously not a favourite for those who prefer a traditional pub but the beer was good and at �1.70 for a well-served pint of 4.4 Acorn Porter who can complain when my previous pint of 3.8 bitter had cost me �3.00? A cheap but perfectly satisfactory meal was served with a smile within a couple of minutes of ordering. | whilst not exactly "small", I would say it was one of teh smaller jdw pubs I have been in. As I recall, there was also not so many cask ales on offer as usual. That said, it is a nice place. and the usual jdw menu is available. it is also very convenient the the "west street" brigade. | Ex public baths building, a section of which has been converted into a regular Spoon. There's a nice room on the corner with a fireplace. It's an OK place with a small selection of guests. Much cheaper than the Spoons in town. We quite liked it. SilkTork - 7 Aug 2008 22:50 |
