Happy to report a reasonable selection of craft beers were available on my latest visit - I had a couple of Dogfish Head beers and although they were somewhat pricey, they were a delight. Review upgraded. Sharp - 27 Dec 2012 19:35 |
Standard student pub - noisy, tables filthy, hard to get served. Very busy at times with people who don't understand "excuse me, please, can I get past you?". Avoid keith253 - 2 Jul 2009 00:27 |
As a DPS (licensee in modern terms) I am amazed by some peoples arrogance when it comes to ID'ing. In the current climate with police stings, record fines, challenge 21 and over-regulation etc why should I risk a 10k fine and my licence been revoked just because people cant be bothered taking ID with them? If your old enough to carry valid ID then carry it and you will never have a problem again. The time is coming when bars will become like the US and have mandatory ID checks so best get used to it now! dyson_raf - 4 Aug 2008 17:10 |
A tacky, soulless, noisy chain bar, with a poor selection and a bad mix of chavvy locals and braying insincere students for clientele. When there are so many better places to drink in Sheffield City Centre, you may as well be committing a crime drinking here. Bungalows & Bears, brb, The Old House, Muse and the Devonshire Cat are all so much better. ChrisP87 - 25 Apr 2008 14:38 |
Not nice. Packed with students during term time to the point that it's difficult to make it to the bar, dead during university holidays. Poor beer, blaring music. Nothing to recommend. SheffieldMickey - 2 Mar 2008 22:47 |
