Sunday lunchtime at Easter. Never been in before. Very unwelcoming. T V on showing football which attracted precisely 3 viewers. The pub had good seating and leather chairs and we could have stayed for Sunday lunch but had no interest in the football on large TV over what would have been an attractive fireplace if lit. They have completely missed a chance to attract new customers. Easter Sunday they could have sold a lot of food as there were cyclers and walkers in large numbers passing through the village. If it was Saturday at 3 & a large crowd was cheering on the football it may have created an atmosphere but Sunday at 12.30 was not the time for the football crowd. The decor was good Loos clean and well decorated. If they ditched the TV and slot machine, made an effort to be welcoming to new customers the could have a great pub. KateB56 - 31 Mar 2013 18:25 |

Agree with sonofalbert - I wonder if Tweedledum and Tweedledee from next door have been up to their tricks again? They're village idiots and intolerable snobs to boot Scepticus - 16 Sep 2012 21:32 |
A group of us cycled to Bramley from Horsham and picked The Wheatsheaf at random. Beer fine, food very good value although nothing out of the ordinary. Thought some earlier comments a bit hostile and unnecessary sonofalbert - 16 Jun 2012 16:26 |
Looked closed at lunch time today. Heard of a pub with no beer, but this one had no staff - hung around for a few minutes, then walked out! First impressions made me keep my money in me pocket. hellodave - 21 Jun 2011 17:26 |
