| I went 2 the bar this evening after reading he reviews on this site but I would strongly advice you to stay clear. After setting my drink down on a table while I danced I went to pick this up and was grab by someone accusing me of stealing THIER drink when my friend tried to calm the situation down he was punched in the face by the mans girlfriend. When we spoke to the steward we were told 'well every pub has their idiots' this would have ruined my 1 night in Manchester had it not been for someone suggesting we went to Crus 101 which turned out 2b a fantastic night and somewhere I WOULD highly recommend. | I spent a lot of time in this pub on manchester pride weekend. I found the staff to be extremely helpfull and friendly. The prices were good value, tried a few others at times but always ended back at New York New York. The DJ was great i danced almost all night (open till 4am that weekend). I got on very well with one of the staff who was continually clearing away glasses and mopping up spillages ( he was very hadsome too). I had a fantastic time and i would say that this pub and staff helped make it. I cant wait to go back (live in london) and i wont be waiting till next manchester pride weekend thats for sure.
