| Great job done on the place. They have turned it into 3 different bars: The sports bar on the left is friendly and they show all the matches. The middle section is now a late night venue and available for private hire. Nice bar ad good food ( I was at a do there recently) The right hand side is a nice wine bar. Very smart, with reasonably priced drinks and a good selection of wines. They give you nibbles to enjoy with your drinks, which is a nice touch. Attracting the older and nicer crowd which is great as Witham has needed something like this for ages. Open lunchtimes too for food, which I hear is good and reasonable priced (although not yet been myself, will be trying it out) Definately worth a visit - well done to the landlord!! | Changed again!! Now a 3 bar operation with the main one being called Legends. Lively sports bar with several large screens showing all the football and other sporting events. Always a nice welcome from the landlord and staff. Right hand side has a very smart Wine Bar and the middle section is a late opening bar/ club. Strictly Over25's and smart dress only. Works well at the moment but they did try this before with Elements and when it wasn't busy, all the age restrictions went out the window and it looked like a creche! | Not as cheap as the Battesford and beers not as good but still cheap and but more lively, especially at w/ends, maybe too lively if you know what I'm sayin. Food on Sundays is good I hear. Pool table and lots of tellys. HarryP - 15 Apr 2005 11:19 |
