| Visited this pub last Wednesday, its a short Ferry Ride from the quayside aat Falmouth. Good selection of well kept ales, very much a locals pub in the Winter, found it to be friendly enough, would be a lovely spot in Summer. Hodge1 - 7 Jan 2012 10:08 |
| Great location in the centre of Flushing, and a lovely spot to sit with a beer and watch the sun setting over the Fal estuary. It's right by the waterfront and by the local shop, so opportunities to keep the kids entertained with crabbing when the tide is in. Very much geared to locals inside, which is fine, but we found no warmth or hospitality extended towards us - hardly even the basics of politeness. Well kept beer selection (including Doom Bar - a personal favourite) and good menu, though the day we ate, the food (which was otherwise very nice) was only luke warm. | Visited again many times this year. Area at the front is bustling with locals and in the sunshine this place is a real gem. Very busy traffic-wise with cars passing all the time but this does not detract from the excellent views of Falmouth and the Penryn River. Well worth a visit. stelladrinker - 13 Oct 2009 17:55 |
