no drinkable beer available on my visit

This pub has very little to offer had a nasty pint at bar. The place is very tatty and is used with maily thugs and scruffs. The landlord has a car clamping company on call so that may also cost you 150 plus ....110

The POW is now run by Dean from The Butchers Arms and things are definitely looking up. The beer was fine (Doom Bar) and I'm told that a second real ale is now available. Only downside was the inane music but I suppose that was just the luck of the draw on my visit. I will return and try this large pub again.

Not the worst in Tilehurst, but certainly not the best.

The interior is pretty big and this place has a lot of potential - if they get rid of the poo-coloured varnish brown colour that dominates the interior, a bit of a smoking ban hangover I think.

There's a big sized TV to be had and the outside seating isn't too bad.

I got told you can judge a pub by the state of it's sign - this one is old, dirty and peeling.

They served a fair pint of Pride, but this place also suffers from being a Chav-magnet. In the right hands, this could be Tilehurst town centre's premier pub. But does Tilehurst want one??

Pub is now under new management. Place is clean with lovely beer garden. Sky is installed to compete with competition. Looks to be a great pub with good beer and nice clientel.
