I went in there when they had some local band on. Suffice to say it was amateur hour with some indie/dance/stuck in the nineties cobblers. In fact the last time I heard something this vile was a bunch of chavs drunk with a beat up PS3 and a copy of Dance Nation to hand. Only that was quite decent by compare. Reading; it gets worse before it gets far worse. camra_colin - 28 Jul 2012 10:03 |

3 or 4 beers usually available from fairly national brewers such as Wells, Courage, Adnams and Caledonian. As they have 3 pumps I'm not sure why they insist on serving straight from the barrel. This can mean that the beer is sometimes slightly warmer than is desirable. Always one beer on offer at 2.20. Happy hour Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1800 - 2200 with reductions on lagers, cider, shorts etc. cheshirecat - 24 Aug 2011 08:54 |

We dropped into the Sun Inn purely by chance on a rare visit to Reading, and were pleasantly surprised by the good food, quality well kept beer, traditional surroundings (that have obviously had a recent lick of paint to keep them fresh), and the very friendly and entertaining staff. Very reasonable pricing and service with a smile; a proper pub of which there are so few in towns nowadays - we'll definitely be back when we visit Reading again. frankers69 - 29 Apr 2011 11:00 |
