| Didn't look to impressive from the outside. But inside is fairly immaculate and had a group of regulars and a welcoming landlord. Beers were all from Harveys - Sussex Best Bitter, Armada & Pale Ale. We chose to sit on a bench outside the front of the pub where dozens of bees were enjoying the lavender. | Things have changed...Now under new management. Tim and Donna took over around mid Feb 2012. Despite having no previous pub experience (everyone has to start somewhere) they are giving it a go. It is early days and they are still finding their way in some areas. | I recently visited this pub with several family members aged between 6 and 87 for an early evening meal. All the meals were delicious. Beautifully cooked,presented and served. We couldn't criticise anything except to say the portions were enormous! Denise the chef and landlady is really friendly and chatty, however John the landlord is probably the most sullen,miserable and unsociable landlord I have ever met. I would certainly recommend this pub if you want a really lovely meal but don't expect the landlord to welcome you !! zanne - 7 Aug 2009 18:13 |
