| Had a pint of London Pride and enjoyed a half hour taking in the pleasures of this long bar with its tastefully unmatching furniture, interesting wall art and excellent soundtrack. Good mix of young arty types, office wallahs and bookreaders. Didn't eat but the menu looked varied and imaginative. Full marks to the friendly, cheerful and politestaff. | I often pop in here straight after work for a pint of milk and a sausage sandwich. Not cheap at �7 but probably the best sausage sandwich in the world. The sister pub in Nottingham of the same name is even better. Pretty hard to find though. Swifty_ - 17 Aug 2010 14:15 |
| This place is a surprise. I'd always assumed it was the same as all the other pubs on Leicester's High Street but it has some real character. Good cheap food, a lot of friendly, young bar staff [Each time I was at the bar I was asked at least three times if I was waiting, which is a pleasant change] and a good atmosphere to it. It's a younger person's place, but not exclusively so - an old git like me was still nmade to feel welcome.
