Has been opened up and freshly decorated by the look of things including Warholesque Lord Nelson pictures at the far end where I didn't go. Fairly basic (perhaps because of the opening up) locals' pub. Overcold Doom Bar was 3.60 a pint but 2.00 for a half, which is a creeping practice and discriminatory against people who prefer to drink a half. rainlight - 31 Oct 2015 14:36 |
An excellent tiled exterior to the pub, something worth looking at,unfortunately thats the only positive thing i can say about it. Inside seemed rather souless and the only ale on offer was the rather bland London Pride . I wont plan to return. Picasso09 - 24 Jul 2011 12:55 |
Friendly pub with a surprisingly good range of food and a brilliant "Open Mic" every Thrsday! Wanno1 - 12 Jun 2011 12:29 |
A fairly roomy pub on the main drag between South Wimbledon and Collier's Wood, The Nelson has a lot of character but seems to be rather quiet of late. I've passed it twice recently on a Friday and Saturday night when it should be busy and there's been hardly a soul in it which is a shame as it's a decent pub which serves a good pint. Five minutes' walk from Merton bus garage and Collier's Wood tube, it's worth stopping off for a couple. JDchaser - 19 Feb 2011 16:56 |
We had an amazing time at our anniversary party here and would use again for any other party or get together. laurajw - 25 May 2010 20:09 |
