| Fantastic village freehouse..... atmosphere is brilliant, very friendly, well attended by the locals and a friendly, helpful lady owner and publican...... B&B is also offered with Full English or continental breakfasts. The bus stop is literally across the road, there is a car park, if you choose to drive instead, and with that in mind, there is an excellent alcohol free choice of drinks (instead of the all to often, beer or soft drinks choice). Great Sunday roasts, but beware you need to book, it gets rammed! Also pub food is generally available Wednesday to Saturday lunchtime and evenings until 8pm. Clocklady_58 - 12 Oct 2023 17:04 |
| I'd read that the licensing hours of this place are limited to 6-10. But sadly they are even more limited than that now. A sign on the door declares that this is no longer a pub. Whilst it still apparently dispenses cask ales and real cider, it is only served to residents in the B & B. So I guess the selection is much more limited, with a reduced footfall. But unfortunately we were unable to see, as the notice on the door made it quite clear that passing trade is not welcome. 1/10 as there is no longer beerintheevening unless you fancy staying in a small Cornish village a few miles from civilisation. blue_scrumpy - 3 Sep 2018 19:11 |
