Main claim to fame was in late 70s/early 80s as Garry Bushell's local and unofficial HQ of the Oi movement. Glasgowboy - 5 May 2009 13:55 |
Wat Tyler in history led the peasants revolt. The pub itself was run down and very depressing. It was not a family atmosphere when I lived on the estate many years ago Andrew - 16 Apr 2004 02:09 |
the place has been closed for years and thats a good thing. it's in a crappy area and doesn't even look like a pub! i've seen garden sheds that look more welcoming than this place Ez - 19 Feb 2004 22:04 |
I noticed that the person who said the Wat Tyler was a lovery family pub in a fantastic position which he wrote in 2003. Well it has been shut for about 3 years now and it is on the Ferrier Estate. I dont think so it was always a dump. I should know I live very neer it. Leeny Sharp - 25 Oct 2003 02:31 |
