There was a man with one eye when i last went there, who i'm sure was far more amusing than the comedy acts that perform there! Awesome! karlosmerkin - 1 Jun 2008 22:08 |
The comedy booked in here is always top class and usually well known people. The only downside is that it can be expensive to get in and drinks are not cheap either. back2reality18 - 18 Jan 2008 18:05 |
Bar Risa: This is an ace place to drink! friday and saturday nights they have 1.50 drink offers on stuff you actualy want to drink, for example vodka and lemonade! my drink of preference!! They have a strict dress code which put simply means they dont let chavs in! which i much appreciate. The bar staff are very helpful and quick and polite. The doorstaff, are strict about entry and are generally rather witty, unless of course they are throwing someone out! It gets quite busy in there and has an amazing atmosphere. And the food is great, i recomend the lasagne! Jongleurs: They always have top notch comedians, people you have heard! They offer food and Drinks too, the drinks in jongleurs are more expensive but then you can always go back into risa afterwards. The staff are great very discreet when doing the table service so that they dont disturb the acts on stage. The disco afterwards is always a laugh, they play whatever you want to hear, which is usually a random mix of all things cheesey right through to the latest chart singles! This also has a really good atmosphere . joannagray - 8 Sep 2006 10:40 |
A bit expensive but excellent comedy. Dantheman - 4 Jan 2006 17:44 |
Bit chavvy with appalling bar staff. At least you can always get a seat during the week. lwk198 - 25 Sep 2005 22:16 |
