The last time I tried to visit Brink was just over a year ago and I believe it was closed on a Sunday. Nowadays, it does open 7 days a week and it was busy late yesterday afternoon. The beer and cider range is impressive, with a good selection of cask, keg, bottles and cans. The cask offering was Strata Drumlin, Nightjar Lost In Ikea, Squawk Pavo, RedWillow Imperial XXX Mild & Limitless & Brewsmith/Strata NZ IPA. Ciders were Dunham Press Sawput, Sawpit and Black & Apple and Rhubarb & Moss Cider Project All In Hand. There was just enough time to get through each of the Dunham Press ciders and the very strong (9.2%) mild, before heading back to Piccadilly. The Brink is certainly one of the best bars for beer and cider in the city centre at the present time. blue_scrumpy - 16 Dec 2019 21:13 |
Good beer guide 2019 entry. Cellar bar, very much like the Gas Lamp over the road. Everything is source from 30 miles of Manchester - from the beers to the excellent music at a decent level. Enjoyable visit with a friendly owner. Mappiman - 9 Sep 2019 11:58 |
