| Enjoyed a lunch here with some friends, an excellent pint of Harveys means I will certainly be returning. The food was good and wholesome but slightly disappointing. I feel they could, with a little extra effort, take it to a new level. My main criticism is that I consider sauces and relishes to be a personal taste, though I don't dislike thick glutinous gravy neither do I want huge quantities covering my meal. | Visited The Plough at Plumpton Green on a Friday night in January whilst looking for a traditional English country pub in which to celebrate a forthcoming big birthday. Found the Harveys Old Ale to be well kept and the food to be reasonable value for money. Down to earth hostess. Pub was nicely quiet which suited my taste. All the boxes were ticked and I may well find myself taking the family back there later this month. The Plough certainly warrants a better rating than the overall 5.3/10 it currently has so 7/10 from me. grahamyhill - 6 Jan 2012 22:12 |

| This pub does not really exude cosiness, could do with an internal refit with some nicely arranged comfortable furniture. The bar billiards table is an excellent attribute though and the pub hosts a very strong team. tommo5 - 4 Aug 2011 16:37 |
