| I understand that the Red Lion is now under new management and it has certainly been smartened up since my last visit. We booked a table for Sunday lunch without being able to see what was on the menu beforehand (website not yet fully up and running) but we were really pleased with the food offering (roast pork belly cost £18). My first pint was the seasonal Hook Norton Greedy Goose (£4.90 per pint) which was lifeless but my next pint was the Hooky which was 50p cheaper and much better. paul_d102 - 12 Jan 2025 19:44 |
| Much scruffier, family friendly and local than the other pub in the village but none the worse for it. The "King of Ilmington" was happy to tell us all about the time he met the (then) Prince of Wales 20+ years ago.
