| The Crown was the first of three stops in West Derby for us yesterday. This was the only one without any real ale. The options were Carling, Fosters, John Smiths, Strongbow, Gunness, Black Sheep Best Bitter (keg) & Tetleys Dark Mild. It's quite an impressive pub inside and out. But it could do with a bit of investment. The bowling green at the rear is immaculate though. The Royal Standard is just opposite here, if you fancy a real ale and something more modern, whilst the Halton Castle is not too far away either for more ale.
