| I’m not sure why I’m reporting about this pub, as it’s just about to close for “refurbishment”. Anyway, this is one of those “impossible to find” back street boozers, that are becoming very rare these days. There’s probably an easier way to get there, but I was led down an unmarked alleyway off Beam Street (by bus station), and after 5 mins walk arrived there. The pub itself is on a corner, with rooms down each street, and the bar down the inner side of one of them. Plainly furnished with a pool table and dartsboard – plus the obligatory Sports TV. Plenty of people using the facilities too. It is a Robinsons pub, and the two handpumps were serving their Unicorn and Trooper.
