| Nice building and well done by Wetherspoons however the service when I called was painfully slow with not enough staff behind the bar. I was ignored three times by the sole barman on duty until someone pointed out to him I was waiting. In the end I was served by the assistant manager. | This review is from my visit to Bury St Edmunds in February 2015 After a quick pint in the Nutshell I had time for a drink in this stunning ‘Spoons before the football. I think this may be the first ‘spoons I’ve ever been in when you have to go upstairs to the only bar and drinking / eating areas. It’s just before 2.30 pm and it’s extremely busy with a lot of locals eating and drinking. The ale choice across the 10 hand pumps is very good but I get a bit bamboozled so I go for a bottle of Adnams. The Corn Exchange really is a lovely building, the large glass celling gives a feel of a conservatory. Service is swift, there’s a buzz in the air and this is the 2nd busiest pub I visited in Bury.
