| Had an evening meal in this pub a week or so ago, called in on the off chance and we're greeted by the friendly landlady , she showed us to a table and handed us the menu's and pointed out the specials board. Small restaurant area but nice and cosy all the same. Food came out 8n good time and was stunning " proper home cooked grub" Plenty of it and very reasonable. ...will definitely be back soon... | 16th century pub which looks from the new pub sign and smart looking menus displayed on the wall outside as if it may have been gastropubbed - but nothing could be further from the truth. The interior looks as if it hasn't been touched since the 60s and the whole look is one of gradual decline. But the locals were friendly and the Reverend James was very good (perhaps the best pint I have had so far in Pembrokeshire this week). The benches by the front door were in a little sun trap this afternoon sheltered by the old stone walls (try not to look at the very non-16th century housing close by) so it was difficult leaving... paul_d102 - 19 May 2015 21:32 |
