| I tried to enter Lasham Airfield from the village end, but to no avail. Security put a stop to that. But after a long drive around the airfield, we came to the main entrance and located the dimly lit entrance. You walk through a cafeteria and seating area to get to the small bar where two ales are served - Gale's HSB & Wychwood Hobgoblin. Having had the Hobgoblin earlier in the day, I opted for the HSB, which was a nice drop. The place was fairly busy, with mainly younger people who had presumably been gliding. | Club House open to the public. Really nice sitting outside on a sunny day watching all the gliding activity. Bar recently refurbed and usually has at least 2 ales on pump in good condition. Canteen next door does excellent food and the bar also has a good snack menu. A good place to stop off at on a cycle ride/long walk. sylviajoan - 7 Jan 2015 16:30 |
