Heard a rumour in the nearby market that this pub burnt down early 2007... focus - 7 Apr 2007 10:49 |
I have nothing bad to say about Central Station Walthamstow. Friendly staff, nice environment. Tried a search for it's sister Central Station King's Cross but couldn't find it on here but if you like it dirty and sleazy it's the place to go! Ground floor bar is nice and usually offers entertainment. Downstairs is host to many themed "sex" nights. With two small dark areas you can get sucked or f*cked to your hearts content. Not usually the best looking guys but if you're willing to hang around a little first the odd gem turns up! anonymous - 2 Feb 2006 16:32 |
friendly gay bar. open late. No trouble - no issues - no pretence. Anyway... I had a good night (as a traight man)!! paul h - 22 Jul 2004 09:51 |
This was the first pub I ever used as a young teenager. Small, cosy and perfectly located off of the market. My old man used to take me and my brother there for a Sunday pint while mum was doing the roast. If you'd just finished work in the market or were tired of walking up and down on a Saturday afternoon with the girlfriend it was the perfect watering hole. It wasn't clicky but everyone knew each other. Darts matches were the best evenings I had as a young drinker. How times change. Now the pub is very different. Heterosexual men and ladies will feel a little uncomfortable, although not unwelcomed, using this pub. Instead of Chas and Dave on the jukebox, you'll find it's either Will Young or K.D.Lang. If this is your trip, then you'll find it tucked behind the industrial units on St.James' street. If not, then try the Cock Tavern in the market around the corner (no pun intended).
