| As a pub, dreadful. It scores below average on almost every criterion. Most importantly, a truly awful choice of drinks (i.e. no choice) and all at truly ludicrous prices. The only reason you should come here is for the live music downstairs. Although the layout of the room isn't ideal it's good for an intimate gig and having seen 10+ bands there, the sound quality is very good generally. | My boyfriend had his 40th there (I can't believe I have a 40 year old boyfriend...). Anyway, the staff were absolutely magnificent. I cannot praise them highly enough. Consequently we had a fantastic party as we had hired out downstairs (very reasonable rates as well - free if you spend a certain amount over the bar - I think it was �1,000). I probably wouldn't go there for a drink as it's very quiet but will definitely hire again as a venue for a party. roxy - 8 Mar 2005 10:14 |
| I went to the Daily for a private party last week and it has a really nice downstairs bit that you can hire out - squishy sofas etc. It's quite cool and relaxed in there (almost European!) albeit a bit empty. extraordinary - 28 Jan 2005 15:15 |
