One of Barnsley's better pubs - good selection of ales pretty central to town. Snarling_Mallard - 18 Jan 2018 18:10 |
This was my favourite Barnsley pub. It appears to be the Acorn brewery tap with a number of guest ales and ciders. The interior is narrow, but stretches a fair way back, with the bar at the back. It can get a bit congested in the bar area when busy. Ales were Acorn Barnsley Bitter, Blonde, Gorlovka Imperial Stout, Summer Pale & West Stand Bogs, Dark Star Festival & Victorian Mild & Half Moon APA. Ciders were Lilleys Gladiator & Farmer Jims Copper Top. I'd make this my first port of call if in Barnsley again. blue_scrumpy - 28 Aug 2015 21:25 |
Probably variable depending on what time & day you visit, but the beer's been spot on the twice we've been (Barnsley Brewery beers + others). Quite small. The usual jaw-droppingly ropey Barnsley women in, as an added attraction. Richardhuddleston - 31 Jul 2015 22:43 |
