The prices are the same as any pub in Warwick £3.40.It is handily placed near the High Street, they do not sell food and encourage you to bring in your own. This Micro-pub is owned by a very florid chap called Tommy,so red in fact that I instantly thought of a blushing beetroot, I then made a mental note never to own a micro-pub as it clearly plays havoc with the old blood-pressure.Not as good as the Cape of Good Hope,Wild Boar or the nearby Punchbowl. slerpy - 5 Mar 2017 09:57 |
Larger micropub with 2 distinct drinking areas, front and back with the bar area inbetween. Unlike some converted shops, this looks like it has been a pub forever with the sort of paraphernalia that adorns the walls in traditional establishments. Very quiet this lunchtime as many regulars were appearing with the local Slaughterhouse Players at nearby Guy's Cliffe apparently but at least that gave me the opportunity to pop in for a quick pint unlike previous late night visits when it has been to busy to get in. I tried a new beer for me - Gollop With Zest from The Froth Blowers Brewing Co. at the seemingly normal for this type of place price of £3 a pint. There were 5 or 6 other beers including a couple from breweries in Warwickshire, one from Shropshire and one from Young's. paul_d102 - 10 Jul 2016 14:42 |
Nice micropub just a few minutes walk from the town centre but it could be so much nicer if the staff actually smiled occasionally. It was really busy (it was Saturday night) and the staff seemed to resent any further people who came in. Come on folks. You are at the start of a pub revolution and really need to try harder. Having said all that I would visit again. rinfav - 4 Apr 2016 13:04 |
