| One of many micro pubs popping up in the area. In my opinion a welcome addition to the pub scene. The Rack is a friendly pub which always seems to be busy. The beers when I was there were bath Pale Ale, Titanic Porter and Sharps Cornish Coaster. The pale Ale was very nice! The landlord gives the drinkers the opportunity to sample ales in thirds of a pint with three glasses served in a wooden tray. | Can't say i would enthuse about it as much as many others. Found the 'quirkiness' of the place to be a bit contrived and the ale selection on this visit was not that great and quality average. | What a cracking bar this place really is. Went in with a group of fellow Bristol Rovers fans before and after our game at Dover and was really impressed. Firstly the range of ales and ciders was extremely good and everything was very well kept. The prices are also very good as well, £3.60 for a pint of 6% Legbender scrumpy is very reasonable. We had some really good banter with the Dover fans in the bar and the welcome we received from all the staff was simply top class. I have never been in a pub which provides the amount of free food as the Rack. In the afternoon we were treated to pork pies, scotch eggs, nuts, crisps etc in very large quantities. Post match we had plates of lovely snails and followed up with probably half a dozen bags of chips they brought in from the local chippy. The guys at the Rack are doing a fantastic job, all too often football fans are tolerated rather than really welcomed, however the warm friendly welcome we received and the hospitality was superb. I can't recommend this place too highly and should I ever be in Dover again this will be without doubt the pub of choice for me.
