| Situated outside the village (10 mins walk) the Anchor is an oak beamed Robinson`s pub, popular with the local sheep farmers, and visitors alike. Dizzy Blonde was a bit insipid, so Iron Maiden`s Trooper at 4.7% was a bit more like it. Very good in fact. The pub was very busy, which is a good sign, but with a fill-in chef, they were a bit behind, but explained the situation, and it was n`t a problem. The steak & ale pie was to die for, and I told the landlady so,she promptly brought out the lady who made it, who was delighted with the plaudits for her culinary prowess.
