Not a bad pub at all and really geared up for darts, pool and sport on tv. I guess you could say it is a sports bar but does not a traditional sports bar feel. Always a nice pint of Foster in here. Worth a visit. 7/10 montie49 - 6 Oct 2015 18:25 |

This is the first time that I have ever written a review but here goes..... I stumbled across this little gem completely by accident last weekend. Although I had never entered the premises before, the staff greeted me as if I was a regular. What became immediately apparent to me was the importance to the owners of a new customers " first impressions " . I also judge a pub by how clean the toilets are and again I wasn't disappointed. If I was to leave any negative comments, then it would be the lack of a food menu. Now ordinairily this could be a deal breaker, but as the Barbican is over-run with establishments to cater to your every culinary desire then maybe this oversight is deliberate. To summarise, if you want a local that is a taxi drive away, then Porters is your first and probably only choice. Chris.P.Duck - 12 May 2012 21:31 |
