O2 is now completly changed and is now called 'The Clarendon'.It has live music, good home cooked food, real ales and a freindly, comfortable atmosphere.Nothing like theO2 or Winstons before.Well worth a visit. theclarendon - 11 Oct 2008 17:50 |
I can remember it as far back as being called The Top Of The Town! Remember it called the Jeckyl and Hyde too!!! But it was always the BEST when it was Winstons!!! I'm talking 94-97 when it was rammed, the dance tunes were pumpin, it took you like 30 mins to get to the loo and back, they served WOBBLERS and RUMBLERS, and triples and mixers on the hour every hour!!!!! There was a fir lad behind the bar who used to wear a white shirt and he used to come down Monroes afterwards and dance on the podium all night, can't remember his name but i've seen him around wearing a suit! I know why everyone stopped going after the refit. They changed their music policy to R&B and everyone pissed off to the White Horse. I've been in about 3 times in the last 8 years and it could do with livening up! Get some trance in there that's what Leamington needs! C.A.Z. - 8 Jun 2006 17:40 |

Worked behind the bar here 15 years ago (anyone remember it being the Jekyll & Hyde?) essentially still the same (felt old) redrocket - 24 Aug 2005 22:37 |
Really didnt like this place. Far too concerned with getting the numbers through the door, rather than making sure that their guests were old enough to be in there. The place was packed with kids (Amazingly, a 'happy 16th' party was going on during my brief visit, not that the staff seemed to mind), and the bar staff seemed to be having issues with the bar hardware. I didnt like the place, but on a Friday night, I cant see it being bad for a quick pint. Jamie - 4 Mar 2004 17:09 |
