| As you enter the pub from the front, two rooms on either side, promise much. they are little cosy hideaways, perfect for a group of people to sit out of the way. Carrying on and down some steps, and you are in the main central room of the pub with a brick pillar in the centre and a strange 70's style, tiled bar area. The pub has always served beers from Youngers or Theakston, the latter being on offer recently. There were some other real ales from recollection, which were fine but were only from the large and predicatable breweries. The pub doesn't appear to have changed at all for the last 25 years or more. It's comfortable, if a little 'boring' - Full of brasses and 'locals' eating bar meals.
