Now then!! Very nice pub. Excellent atmosphere. Landlord knows how to keep his beer but don't expect it cold you get it the way it should be served..... room temperature..... so you can taste it. Of course if you are one of those who like foul freezing cold lagers he sells them.....it takes all types! Expect 3 cask ales both locals and foreigners. Adnams for instance. The bar meets the definition of a snug maybe a little to snug. Food I have heard is good, yet to try will let you know. Plenty going on at night quizzes and meat raffle, typical rural pub pursuits. Landlord and Landlady took it over 7 years ago and as they are busy, unlike a lot of badly run pubs they must have got it right. Get down there! beer999 - 11 Feb 2014 23:24 |
Pretty local Lincolnshire village pub worth leaving the bright lights of Skegness to seek out. Small bar area with tiled floor and cellar behind bar where you can see the barrels on stillage through a glass window. Batemans share the pumps with beers from other local breweries. A small snug bar and a separate restaurant area at back. Large garden and large car park complete the scene. Isolated but a pleasant haven to enjoy an excellent pint. foamy - 22 Sep 2011 20:20 |
