| No longer owned by Wetherspoons, but by Scottish and Newcastle I believe, this place still does *very* cheap beer and hence attracts the local AA members. Lacking in atmosphere, but full of crackheads in the toilets I'd avoid it like the plague. | I went there the week it opened (back in 2002 I think) and even then the beer was awful, yet the lines must've been clean since they were brandnew! (or do Wetherspoons recylce car brake fluid lines for their pumps?) What do they do to the stuff? Atmosphere is the usual, could be a nice place as it's got a spacious high ceiling but I'd go the the Pipe and Slippers over the road any day. OldRogue - 3 Jul 2006 12:08 |
