First visit here yesterday. Three beers appeared to be on including one from Brewsters. Lunch was good, but identikit veg let it down, peas and sweetcorn do not make good bed-fellows with Topside of beef. Lovely sunny day with lots of people sitting outside, dieselgala at the GCR made a nostaglic background sound, much preferable to the pop musice being played at too high a volume in the pub itself. SImply no need for music like that when your pub is full and buzzing with conversation.

Fairly large pub next to Quorn & woodhouse station on the Great Central railway with a bias towards food. Having said that, there were 4 beers on offer this weekend - Landlord, Batemans XXXB, Bass and something from Cottage. The quality was fine although prices a little on the high side. Large outdoor seating are is great when the sun is out and the trains are passing! The place has clearly had a fair amount spent on it. Service was good even though it was busy on both days that we poped in.

Located next to the Great Central Railway, with its outside eating area adjacent to the line, this pub is great for rail fans.
It has a good range of food and beer although the last time I was there the Leffe was terrible so I returned my pint.
The place is clean and spacious but it just lacks that jolly atmosphere you look for in the country.
If you want to book a table then it is best to ring because on two occasions they have not acknowledged my internet reservation.
