Pretty good for a pint late on, if you don't mind everyone being a bit hammered. Usefully enough, it's next door to a takeaway pizza joint. I think they still have an open mic night on Thursday - excellent entertainment, especially the rappers. DeliaSmith - 4 May 2008 13:41 |
Great little bar which plays excellent music and has a really lively and yet laid-back atmosphere. Anyone who has this as their local is lucky indeed. Greshon - 20 Feb 2007 18:48 |
I like this bar very much - it is by far the best pub in the immediate area. It has a different appeal than your normal drinking place (this has something to do with it having once been a shop - it has retained the frontage and name). It has a great jukebox and a very friendly atmosphere. Tracy who I think runs the place is pleasant, engaging and attractive - always makes you feel very welcome. dayletempest - 19 Dec 2006 12:06 |
Tries hard to offer an alternative to the old men's pubs and chav haunts that abound locally, but it has opted for a bland "American" theme and the DJ's are just plain annoying. This place might have worked if it wasn't in Finsbury park, but there you are. A shame, because there is potential here, especially for younger punters. Saintjohnny - 11 Jul 2006 18:34 |
went here once to with a g/f and was awful, lots of attitude from the hordes of men in the pub and not another woman in sight. I wouldnt drink here again. . anonymous - 6 Apr 2006 13:33 |
