I have never been so disgusted in my life when I went in there, the place has HARDLY any seating areas, and toilets absolutely smelt awful! Also the women behind the bar spoke to customer like rubbish and threatened me and other customers! A man fell and smashed loads of glasses on a table near us and shards flew and cut my friends leg. My friend went over and said to the lady have u got any plasters, first aid box ect and her response was 'GO WAS THE BLOOD OFF WITH WET TOILET ROLL!' I WOULD REALLY NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE TO BE HONEST I Clubaholic - 2 Jan 2014 16:22 |
Better than i expected from a "sports bar place". My girlfriend and i felt quite comfortable in here. I can understand the noise from the screens needs to be on but why so loud when it was only sky sports news? Carlsberg was tasty and very good at £2.50 a pint, i expected to pay alot more than that (like it was at jd's down the road). Good location as well. 6/10 montie49 - 25 Nov 2012 04:56 |
The title says it all really, this is a sports bar, not a pub. There are seven plasmas around the place, and a projection screen, so theres no chance of missing any action. On the plus side, its conveniently located just off the main shopping street, and its got some nice windows that fold right back, so its a good spot to sit and watch the world go by. Unfortunately, thats about all I can really say in its favour. Everything was served in plastic bottles, not only draft beer, but even bottled drinks were decanted. Asking for a bottle of Corona and getting it served in a plastic half pint glass with a wedge of lime floating in the top isnt quite the same somehow. Even more bizarre was the Guinness it came from a can, was poured in to a (plastic) glass, and was then placed on a device that looked like nothing more than a metal plate, which was apparently supposed to release the gas and turn it in to a proper draft pint!. This was particularly sneaky as the metal plate was attached to what appeared to be a Guinness font only close inspection revealed that there was no tap. The only beer on offer was a Bass creamflow or similar concoction. The cider was Thatchers Gold. Blackthorn - 15 Oct 2010 10:30 |
