The Church House was the first of two stops I was making in the village of Sutton, on the outskirts of Macclesfield. This appeared to be the main village local, catering mainly for drinkers. Robinson's Unicorn & Banks's Bitter are the 2 regular ales. Guests were Storm Pale Gale Ale, Timothy Taylor Boltmaker & Moorhouse's Blond Witch. All were too pale for my liking. But the Pale Gale Ale was in a decent condition. blue_scrumpy - 2 Mar 2020 21:12 |
Great food, Great Beer, Great People. A genuine Country pub suitable for everyone. And as my learned friend send favourite drinking location of the legendary Dave Smith. Also my old physics teacher. PS Hi Nick northerndan - 17 Mar 2005 13:19 |
Great locals, enjoyed many evenings here, would recommend the food. Megan Smith - 18 Feb 2004 21:32 |
Great place - nice garden in summer, friendly, very much a "local" pub though. My old Physics teacher drinks here. If anyone here reading knows Dave Smith, give him my regards! Nick Lee - 20 Sep 2003 17:00 |
