A keg only venue but it does call itself a showbar so would expect no proper beer. Has an eclectic mix of people which I found unusual for Leeds (see previous neanderthal post above to quantify that comment). It does have gay people among it's clientelle but also an awful lot of straight women which I would imagine a hand shandy merchant like Derek wouldn't be interested in. It isn't an ale venue but it is Leeds trying to become less parochial and a bit more grown up. ... the main plus though is that you are unlikely to see Derek there. anonymous - 14 Feb 2014 18:38 |
Some time ago this used to be a decent pub with quite decent beer. There used to be a fat pre-pubescent child behind the bar who posed as the landlord, but who would always refuse to serve beer by pulling contorted expressions and gesticulating towards the nearest adult bar-person. Disturbing ? Well, cop a load'a this:- it's now been painted black, has the word 'showbar' displayed on its exterior, and a rainbow sign out front. Consequently I no longer go there. And nor should you unless you take it up the *&!!!$!* DerekDrinkforbrains - 26 Jul 2010 23:59 |
